ÇİFT ANADAL BAŞVURU, KAYIT VE DEVAM KOŞULLARI

• Başvuru anında anadal diploma programındaki genel not ortalaması en az 4 üzerinden 3.00 olan ve anadal diploma programının ilgili sınıfında başarı sıralaması itibari ile en üst %20’sinde bulunan öğrenciler ikinci anadal diploma programına başvurabilirler.
• Anadal diploma programındaki genel not ortalaması en az 3.00 olan, ancak anadal diploma programının ilgili sınıfında başarı sıralaması itibari ile en üst %20’sinde yer almayan öğrencilerden çift anadal yapılacak programın ilgili yıldaki taban puanından az olmamak üzere puana sahip olanlar da çift anadal programına başvurabilirler.
• Öğrencinin çift anadal diploma programına başvurabilmesi için başvurduğu yarıyıla kadar anadal diploma programında aldığı tüm dersleri başarıyla tamamlaması gerekir.
• Aynı anda iki çift anadal /yan dal programına kayıt yapılamaz veya devam edilemez. Bir çift anadal bir yan dal programına devam edilebilir.
• Türkçe programlara başvurularda dil yeterliliğinin sağlanmış olması gerekmektedir.
• Öğrencinin çift anadal programından mezun olabilmesi için genel not ortalamasının en az 100 üzerinden 70 (2,72) olması gerekir. Tüm çift anadal öğrenimi süresince öğrencinin genel not ortalaması bir defaya mahsus olmak üzere 100 üzerinden 65’e (2,50’ye) kadar düşebilir. Genel not ortalaması ikinci kez 100 üzerinden 70’in (2,72’nin) altına düşen öğrencinin ikinci anadal diploma programından kaydı silinir.
• İkinci anadal lisans programına devam eden öğrenciye mezuniyet diploması ancak devam ettiği birinci anadal diploma programından mezun olması halinde verilebilir.
• Çift anadal programından çıkarılan öğrencilerin ikinci anadal programında almış oldukları derslerin ne şekilde değerlendirileceği, senato tarafından belirlenir.
• Anadal diploma programından mezuniyet hakkını elde eden ancak ikinci anadal diploma programını bitiremeyen öğrencilerin öğrenim süresi ikinci anadal diploma programına kayıt yaptırdığı eğitim öğretim yılından itibaren 2547 sayılı Kanunun 44’üncü maddesinin (c) fıkrasında belirtilen azami süredir.
• Çift anadal programından iki yarıyıl üst üste ders almayan öğrencinin kaydı silinir.

YAN DAL BAŞVURU, KAYIT VE DEVAM KOŞULLARI

• Başvuru anında anadal diploma programındaki genel not ortalaması en az 4 üzerinden 2.80 olan öğrenciler ikinci anadal programına başvurabilirler.
• Yan dal programına, başvurduğu yarıyıla kadar aldığı lisans programındaki tüm kredili dersleri başarıyla tamamlamış olan öğrenciler başvurabilir.
• Yan dal programına devam edebilmesi için öğrencinin anadal programındaki not ortalamasının en az 4 üzerinden 2,30 olması şarttır. Bu şartı sağlayamayan öğrencinin yan dal programından kaydı silinir.
• Aynı anda iki çift anadal /yan dal programına kayıt yapılamaz veya devam edilemez. Bir çift anadal bir yandal programına devam edilebilir.
• Anadal programından mezuniyet hakkını elde eden ancak yan dal programını bitiremeyen öğrencilere ilgili yönetim kurullarının kararı ile en fazla iki yarıyıl ek süre tanınır.
• Yan dal öğrencisi, öğrenim sürecinin herhangi bir yarıyılında programı kendi isteğiyle bırakabilir. Yan dal programından kayıt sildiren öğrenci, aynı yan dal programına tekrar kayıt yaptıramaz.
• Yan dal programından çıkarılan öğrencilerin ikinci anadal programında almış oldukları derslerin ne şekilde değerlendirileceği, senato tarafından belirlenir.
• Yan dal programından iki yarıyıl üst üste ders almayan öğrencinin bu programdan kaydı silinir.
• Yan dal programını tamamlayan öğrencilere diploma yerine geçmeyen sertifika verilir.

DOUBLE MAJOR APPLICATION, ENROLLMENT AND CONTINUATION REQUIREMENTS

The student fills out the “Application Form” for Double Major and Minor Programs, which can be obtained from the “Forms” tab in the Student / Student Affairs menu.

After applying to the Double Major and Minor Programs, if the student meets the requirements specified in the Istanbul Kent University Double Major and Minor Directive, the Directorate of Student Affairs informs the student.

• Students whose cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in their major diploma program is at least 3.00 out of 4.00 at the time of application, and who rank within the top 20% of their class in terms of academic achievement, may apply for a second major diploma program.
• Students whose CGPA in their major diploma program is at least 3.00 but who are not within the top 20% of their class may also apply for a double major program, provided that their entrance score is not lower than the base score of the program to which they are applying for that academic year.
• In order to apply for a double major diploma program, the student must have successfully completed all courses taken in the major diploma program up to the semester of application.
• It is not possible to enroll in or continue two double major and/or minor programs simultaneously. However, a student may pursue one double major and one minor program at the same time.
• For applications to programs offered in Turkish, proof of language proficiency is required.
• In order to graduate from a double major program, the student must have a minimum CGPA of 70 out of 100 (2.72/4.00). During the double major education, the CGPA may drop to 65 out of 100 (2.50/4.00) only once. If the CGPA falls below 70 out of 100 (2.72/4.00) for a second time, the student will be dismissed from the second major diploma program.
• A student enrolled in a second major undergraduate program may receive the graduation diploma only after graduating from their primary major program.
• The evaluation of courses completed in the second major program by students who are dismissed from the double major program is determined by the Senate.
• For students who have earned the right to graduate from their primary major program but have not yet completed the second major program, the maximum duration of study is determined in accordance with Article 44(c) of Law No. 2547, starting from the academic year in which they enrolled in the second major program.
• Students who do not take courses in the double major program for two consecutive semesters will be dismissed from the program.

MINOR PROGRAM APPLICATION, ENROLLMENT AND CONTINUATION REQUIREMENTS

• Students whose CGPA in their major diploma program is at least 2.80 out of 4.00 at the time of application may apply for a minor program.
• Students who have successfully completed all credited courses in their undergraduate program up to the semester of application may apply for a minor program.
• In order to continue in the minor program, the student must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.30 out of 4.00 in their major program. Students who fail to meet this requirement will be dismissed from the minor program.
• It is not possible to enroll in or continue two double major and/or minor programs simultaneously. However, a student may pursue one double major and one minor program at the same time.
• Students who have earned the right to graduate from their major program but have not completed the minor program may be granted an additional period of up to two semesters by the decision of the relevant administrative boards.
• A minor student may withdraw from the program voluntarily in any semester. A student who withdraws from a minor program cannot re-enroll in the same program.
• The evaluation of courses taken in the second major program by students dismissed from the minor program is determined by the Senate.
• Students who do not take courses in the minor program for two consecutive semesters will be dismissed from the program.
• Students who complete the minor program are awarded a certificate that does not substitute for a diploma.
