Success of Our Faculty of Pharmacy Academic in COST Mentorship

Date : 08.11.2024

We are pleased to announce that our faculty member, Assist. Dr. Burcu Uner, has been appointed as a mentor for Working Group 1, "Identification of New Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets for MDR Tumors," and Working Group 4, "Pharmacokinetics and ADMET of New Therapeutic Tools; Safety of the Targets," within both the STRATAGEM and PANDORA projects.

PANDORA, the Pan-European Educational Platform on Multidrug Resistant Tumors and Personalized Cancer Treatment, is funded by the COST Innovators Grant (CIG) and builds upon the success of the previous COST Action STRATAGEM (CA17104). COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is an EU funding organization dedicated to supporting research networks across Europe.

PANDORA primarily serves PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and young scientists, providing comprehensive training on the complexities of Multi-Drug Resistance (MDR) in tumors. This transdisciplinary platform offers education on a range of critical topics to equip the next generation of researchers with the skills and knowledge to address the challenges of MDR in cancer treatment.

Further details about our project can be found on our website and the COST Association’s site. We congratulate Dr. Burcu Uner on this esteemed appointment and celebrate her commitment to advancing research and mentorship in the fight against MDR.
