The time an average person spends watching moving images is increasing day by day. On the other hand, it is easier than ever to access technological devices that will produce these images. Now, anyone can shoot short films with their mobile phone and send them to festivals.

Millions of videos are uploaded to the internet every day. It is becoming increasingly difficult to convey your message and the emotion you want to create among all these increasing, daily, cheap and ordinary works. You can only do this with a creative approach, an original perspective and a strong vision. At this point, a good university education is perhaps more valuable than ever. In today's world where access to information has become so easy, it is very important to think critically, to grasp the problems of the world and humanity, to understand and explain interpersonal relationships and society. I believe that this effort and this desire lie at the basis of good films and radio and television programs.

As the Istanbul Kent University Radio, Television and Cinema Department, we have designed a curriculum that intertwines theory and practice. In addition, students will be able to create their own unique curriculum with courses they choose in line with their own talents and interests, and focus and specialize in certain areas.

When our students graduate, they will be able to direct fictional, experimental and documentary films, write screenplays, produce television and radio programs, and have the opportunity to work in public and private sector institutions, media organizations, cultural centers and non-governmental organizations.

We welcome everyone who wants to make original films, develop innovative radio and television projects, think about films, series, directors and bring them to life, to Istanbul Kent University Radio, Television and Cinema Department.
