PROGRAM CHAIR MESSAGE
Dear Students,
The development of information technologies and the widespread use of the internet have driven a digital transformation across all fields, simultaneously transforming societies and giving rise to a new “network society” shaped around computer networks. These developments have also led to the proliferation and increasing significance of security vulnerabilities, resulting in a rapidly growing demand for specialists in the field of information security. The responsibility to protect and secure the data of individuals and institutions lies with the future experts of information security.
As the Information Security Technology Program, our goal is to train competent professionals who possess sufficient knowledge and experience in information security, are capable of following innovations, proficient in using required software in the field, able to identify and correct arising errors, and equipped to recognize threats and take necessary measures to counter them. We aim to cultivate expertise in network, information, and application security and management.
Our academic staff consists of experienced and specialized faculty members who provide education enriched with up-to-date knowledge and technologies. Additionally, with the principle of equipping our students with the most current knowledge and strategies against the ever-evolving information technologies and security threats, we regularly review and update our curriculum by considering the needs and suggestions of all stakeholders.
Graduates of our program enjoy broad employment opportunities in both public and private sectors. Beyond the IT industry, they can work as qualified professionals in any organization providing internet and email services, operating multi-user computer systems, managing computer networks, or engaging in electronic commerce.
As the Information Security Technology Program, we are delighted to guide you on this path to building a secure digital future. We warmly invite you to join us and to help safeguard information, the most valuable asset of our time, in this exciting field.
Sincerely,
Instructor Aytek GUCUYENER
