PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE UNIT
Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit was established to protect and improve the quality of mental health in accordance with the requirements of Istanbul Kent University students and staff. At the same time, psycho-educational texts (brochures, newsletters) are prepared. In order to benefit from psychological counseling, it is necessary to make an appointment in advance so that the order of sessions can be respected and consultees will not have to wait.
OUR GOALS
We aim to support individual, social and academic development of our university students, to facilitate their adaptation to university and dormitory life and to ensure they gain the necessary skills to cope with the problems that may occur in these areas.
We aim to ensure university students get to know themselves and become productive, sensitive, responsible individuals with problem - solving, interpersonal communication and healthy thinking skills while practicing their profession and contributing to society in the future.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Privacy policy is essentiel in sessions that will take place in accordance with our goals.
- The privacy principle has a special place when it comes to psychological counseling. Therefore, personal information and interview content in every interview session that take place in our unit, are not shared with anyone unless the consultee allows it.
- Our unit works with the principles of professional consciousness, responsibility, confidentiality, non-discrimination and providing support in line with the principle of volunteerism for the individuals who apply to our center.
- We share the events and announcements of our directorate with the public through our official website and official social media accounts.
