GENERAL INFORMATION
The Nutrition Anthropometry Laboratory is designed to teach students of Nutrition and Dietetics about physical assessments. This laboratory allows students to observe and practice metabolic assessments, body mass index evaluations, and general health tests.
Laboratory Infrastructure
Located on the basement floor (-1) of the Kağıthane campus, this laboratory is designed to meet students’ applied education needs and covers a gross area of 50.9 m². It provides an educational environment where comprehensive assessments and tests related to nutritional status are conducted, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical skills. Students gain proficiency in analyzing body composition by performing physical assessments such as skinfold thickness measurements, body circumference measurements, and muscle strength tests. Additionally, they develop skills in analyzing general health conditions through applications such as metabolic rate measurement, lifestyle evaluation, and energy expenditure determination. In addition to nutritional and physical health tests, the laboratory also facilitates lifestyle and behavioral analyses, providing students with a comprehensive health assessment process.
