GENERAL INFORMATION

This laboratory aims to teach students calorie calculations of foods, the preparation of healthy meals, and the correct use of tools and equipment in food preparation. The laboratory allows students to determine the calorie content of foods consumed daily, learn appropriate consumption methods, and apply food preparation techniques. Students reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical applications, enhancing their professional competencies.

Laboratory Infrastructure

Located on the basement floor (-1) of the Kağıthane campus, the laboratory covers a gross area of 187.6 m² and is designed to facilitate student practice. Ensuring student health and safety, the laboratory floor is covered with high-performance antibacterial PVC material. Additionally, advanced ventilation systems and fume hoods improve air quality while expelling harmful gases, enabling students to work in a healthier and more efficient learning environment. This infrastructure allows students to assess the quality of the meals they prepare and evaluate potential errors, helping them develop their skills. The laboratory is designed to fully comply with hygiene standards, ensuring a safe learning environment for students.
