GENERAL INFORMATION
The Electrophysical Agents Laboratory provides students with training on the use and application of physiotherapy and physical therapy devices. This laboratory demonstrates how electrophysical agents are applied to patients in physical therapy.
Laboratory Infrastructure
Located on the basement floor (-1) of the Kağıthane campus, the laboratory covers a gross area of 110.9 m² and is designed to teach students the correct use and application techniques of electrophysiological therapy devices. The laboratory provides practical training on electrotherapy, laser therapy, ultrasound, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), interferential current therapy, and other electrophysical treatment methods. It allows students to apply the fundamental principles of physiotherapy through hands-on learning.
Students acquire in-depth knowledge on device setup, parameter adjustments, and developing appropriate treatment plans for patients. Practical training covers device application, safety considerations, and optimization of treatment efficacy. Additionally, case studies help students learn how to select, integrate, and adjust treatment parameters based on patient responses.
Through simulations and case studies, students gain practical experience in clinical applications, ensuring proficiency in patient safety and treatment effectiveness. This training prepares students to become professional physiotherapists capable of using electrotherapy devices safely and effectively.
