International Summer School at Istanbul Kent University: SHORT COURSE ON PROBLEM CASES AND SOLUTIONS IN DENTISTRY organised as a Blended Intensive Program in Erasmus+ (July 22-29, 2024 in Istanbul).

We are excited to launch this program which will present a wide view to the Dental Studies students in their field, accommodate opportunities of networking and give the chance to enjoy our beautiful city Istanbul. The program will start with the online courses providing meeting activities and preparation to the onsite courses during 8-12 July 2024.Phsical part of the program will take place in Istanbul Kent University Taksim Campus, which is exactly in the very centre of Istanbul on 22-26 July 2024. All students who are in their last two years of Dental Studies bachelor degree are cordially invited to participate in this dialogue. 

According to the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs guideline, this event is based on a multidimensional and interdisciplinary teaching approach. There will be group work sessions which will improve your skills to function in an international group. Sightseeing will also be included as an extracurricular activity for our international participants. Students will receive 3 ETCS points for the successful participation in the program after completing a performance evaluation.

We welcome applications from students from participating universities and from partner universities in Erasmus program countries.

Who can apply: 

• Dental Studies bachelor degree in their last two years of
• A good command of English (B2) is necessary.

Learning Agreement and ECTS

Learning Agreements should be filled out by all students. Students from European partner universities can fill out the Learning Agreement online at www.learning-agreement.eu. Please use Emel Magriso (erasmus@kent.edu.tr) as the contact for signature.

ECTS: After successful completion of the Summer School including all assignments, 3 ECTS can be awarded with a certificate of Istanbul Kent University. The participation in the virtual kick-off meeting is obligatory; the goal is to get to know each other and form small working groups for the group presentations during the Summer School. Furthermore, information on assignments and tasks during the Summer School will be announced in the courses.

Location and Accommodation

Taksim campus of Istanbul Kent University is located in the very centre of Istanbul both close to metro line and a very popular and civic neighbourhood Cihangir. Click for the location. 

Accommodation should be reserved and booked by the participants. We suggest that you to choose a location near the campus to reduce travel time. 

Fees and Insurance

The program is free of charge for the accepted and invited students!

In the first two days, lunch in the university canteen is free of charge.

Closing Dinner’ on Friday is on us.

Beach in Princes Islands is on us.

Health and other insurances: Please make sure that your health insurance covers your stay at Istanbul Kent University.
