PHOTO STUDIO
Photography Studio was established to provide technical and practical aspects of basic photography knowledge to the students of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising.
In today's world, where image precedes writing, visual elements have an important place. Digitalization brought about by technological developments further bring the concept of photography, which we face in all areas of life, to the fore. Therefore, the art of photography finds its place in many professions, not only for Public Relations or Advertising.
In the studio, it is aimed that students learn how to use the camera, learn about shooting techniques, become familiar with the structure of the camera, use light-color-lighting tools and take pictures in the studio environment.
Understanding the sharp distinction between looking and seeing, students gain editing and shutter speed skills by understanding the most accurate use of the camera. The shots performed are turned into final products in the Photography Studio and Communication Laboratory. In this way, students learn about all the stages from the first moment of the shooting process to the last step.
Theoretical knowledge obtained within the scope of courses such as Fundamentals of Photography, Advertising Photography, Advertising Design and Introduction to Advertising, along with the advanced equipment in the studio environment offer application area. At the same time, advertising campaigns prepared by students are shot.
Students who acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about photography also contribute to the photography exhibitions of university clubs.
