The review article entitled “The role of AMP-activated protein kinase activators on energy balance and cellular metabolism in type 2 diabetes mellitus” was conducted by Lecturer Sevval Gulsah Tekinalp from the Department of Pharmacy Services at the Vocational School of Health Services, along with Res. Asst. Bilge Tuzcu, and faculty members Prof. Dr. Esra Tatar and Assoc. Prof. Muhammet Emin Cam at Istanbul Kent University. The research examines the effects of natural and synthetic AMPK activators, which regulate energy, on various organs in patients with type 2 diabetes. This study has been published in Obesity Medicine journal of the world-renowned publishing house Elsevier.
